Al-hHmiya Arabic College is located in the heart of Kalmunai which is the capital city of the coastal district in the Ampara district.

It is 40 Kms from Batticalao and 360 Kms from the capitol city of Colombo . It takes around 8hrs by car and one hour flying time to Amparai airport which is 25Kms from Kalmunai. From Colombo . The college itself is located about 200meters from the sea which is the Bay of Bengalle.It is 800meters from the Kalmunai town centre.It has 6acre campus and is set in a beautiful scenic surrounding. The ultimate objective of the authorities is that it should one day become the radiating centre for Islamic culture and thought for the people of the Eastern part of SRiLanka. Scholars passing out of this College should go in to the wide world preaching and propagating the true DEEN of Allah without fear or favour for None other than Allah. This is the sole objective of the forbearers of the Kalmunai Himayathul islam Movement which is the parent body responsible for the running of the college.
